I am not a programmer but I have read somewhere that it is more safe to set the permission to 755 rather than 777. Will "sudo chmod 755 moodle/"affect the functionality of moodle?

Installing Moodle
1. I have installed XAAMP with Apache, MysQL, PHP. I also downloaded the Moodle. But could connect to XAAMP. The commands like SUDU is not available in Windows 8. Google search also did not give any result. The video is made in Linux and so commands for windows 8 are different and taking long time. Please give a solution.

I am getting the prompt like given below - Must be installed and enabled. But, when i checked in Apache it got installed properly, now how can i enable it. Kindly help me to install it properly. moodle installation
i am unable to install moodle in my system with windows 7.initially set up was successful till '. Select your country as India and timezone as Asia/Kolkata from the dropdowns. Click on ”Update profile” button.but after that did not proceed to 'Next page is the front page settings' .next time when i repeated steps then its not going ahead of 'Open browser and type localhost in the url. Front page settings don't appear (blank page)
I have installed XAMPP+Moodle as described in the tutorial. After providing necessary inputs on the page "administrator configuration" (min. 11-12) followed by updating the profile resulted in "Blank Page". I have given sufficient time for "Front page settings" page to come-up, but it is still a black page. What remedy do you suggest?

Hi there, I am not able to install moodle on local server. I am reaching 12:25 and then while pressing "update profile", i am getting a blank screen. Error in database - connection failed
I was installing Moodle in Windows 10 and in database setting, when I click enter after typing each field as in the video, a message appears as database connection failed. Hence I cannot proceed further installation.
